A wide range of hospital chairs available in 2023

Multifunctional hospital chairs are an essential part of any ward, and they come in all shapes, sizes and uses, dependent on the ward and the patient’s needs.

They can provide a comfortable place for patients to sit out when not in the bed, whether they are recovering from surgery, resting, or waiting for surgery to take place. The hospital chairs we provide are all easy to clean and disinfect, putting infection control at the forefront.

There are many different types of hospital chairs available, each with its own set of features and benefits. Some chairs are designed for comfort, pre and post-surgery, while others are multifunctional and designed for early mobilisation. We also offer chairs for specific medical conditions such as patients with neurological conditions, alongside our bariatric range.

Choosing your hospital chair

When choosing your hospital chair, it is important to consider the needs of the patients and HCP’s who will be using them.  For Critical Care, a chair needs to have more features (multifunctional) as the patients are less mobile and so the chair is used for early mobilisation and physio.  On wards the chairs are more likely to be used to encourage sitting out of patients, so they need to have a higher level of comfort – and are often on castors, so the patient can be moved if necessary.

Benefits of using hospital chairs:

Comfort: Our range of chairs are designed to be comfortable for patients to sit in, even for long periods of time. They often have padded seats and backs, and they also have adjustable features, such as armrests and some can lay near flat if needed.

  1. Ease of use: Hospital chairs should be easy to use for both patients and staff. They should be easy to get in and out of, and easy to adjust to the correct height.
  2. Infection control: our hospital chairs are easy to clean and disinfect to prevent the spread of infection. They are made from materials that are resistant to stains and spills, and easily wiped down with disinfectant wipes.
  3. Durability: Hospital chairs should be durable enough to withstand heavy use.
  4. A wide variety of options, depending on your needs: We offer a variety of different chair options, dependent on your patient’s and staff needs.

We sell a wide range of different hospital chairs, and we also offer leasing options and rental, if budgets are tight.

We also offer trials on our chairs too, so you can be sure you have selected the right chair for your department.
