Working with NHS Supply Chain

Working with NHS Supply Chain

What is NHS Supply Chain?

NHS Supply Chain is a group buying organisation which manages the sourcing, delivery and supply of a large number of healthcare products and services for NHS trusts and other healthcare organisations linked to the NHS.  To be a supplier, you must adhere to a number of different standards, regulations and accreditations depending on the equipment you are supplying, and so you know that the products you are buying are fully compliant.

We work with NHS Supply Chain so our products are easily available and simple to purchase through the buying power of the organisation. The products we have available can be accessed here, but we also supply a number of configurable care chairs that require a quote.

The NHS Supply Chain framework

This is where the products are stored online. There are a number of links on the website and within that are categories which allow you to filter down to what you are looking for.

Caremed Alrick have a number of different pieces of in the medical healthcare furniture category, from surgeon stools to bariatric examination couches. The other way of finding us is by looking for us in the search box near the top.  Our Medical Furniture Framework Agreement reference is 2020/S 252-638069.

How do I order?

Some products can be purchased directly through the Supply Chain using your login details.  Others, including a number of our customisable multifunctional and early mobilisation care chairs, will need a Unique Reference Number (URN) which can be requested from Andrew Walsh – Andrew is usually able to confirm inclusion of the product on the framework, and provide a URN within 24 hours of request.

Our NHS Supply Chain catalogue

Our full catalogue can be accessed here.  There are links straight through to the correct page on Supply Chain, unless the product is customised and then you will need to obtain a URN.
