How does the Caremed falls sensor system differ?
Based around four core sensors covering floor mat detection, bed exit detection, chair exit detection and motion detection, they are all wireless* (no more trailing cables or limitations such as call point socket positioning) and can be used as standalone alarms or integrate into most nurse call systems. Falls sensor mats for care homes; we offer both the Ramblegard and Alerta brands and are happy to advise on the best configuration based on your requirements and nurse call system.
- Discreet – in many cases, sensor pads can be placed out of sight and away from risk of tampering by residents or families.
- Flexible and foil-free – ultra-flexible sensor pads with no foil, last longer, are more sensitive and over time will save money. No foil means thinner pads, with more flexibility over positioning.
- Accurate - highly sensitive and directional motion sensor is so much more accurate than a PIR which detects any movement in the room.
- Behaviour based detection – watch our short video to see how sensors can be placed differently to detect different falls and wandering scenarios.
